Compassionate End-of-Life Care

Evergreen Wellness AFH provides hospice and end-of-life care with dignity.

As one family shared, “The owners go above and beyond to ensure comfort during her time in hospice care”. We coordinate with hospice nurses and doctors for pain management and comfort measures, while our caregivers stay by your loved one’s side around the clock.

Our focus is always on peace and quality of life – gentle companionship, soothing music, family visits – in our homelike setting.

In your most difficult moments, we’re here to support both the resident and their family with compassion and respect.

Visiting Hours and Family Outings

Families are a big part of life here.

We have an open visiting policy – there are no strict hours, so you can often visit whenever your parent is awake and alert. We only ask that you call ahead for large group visits or events, to make sure scheduling works.

Many families enjoy taking loved ones out occasionally for a meal or event; we encourage that when possible. Because our home is small and resident routines are flexible, visits are easy to arrange.

We love seeing family members participate in outings or special celebrations.

Storytime and Music Sessions

Part of our daily routine is group storytime or music.

In the afternoons, we gather residents in the living room for shared activities. Sometimes a caregiver or volunteer reads aloud from a favorite book, poem or newspaper, which encourages conversation and memory. Other times we have sing-alongs or play gentle music everyone can enjoy.

These activities give purpose and social connection to the day. They stimulate the mind and lift spirits – whether it’s reminiscing over old tunes or simply enjoying a quiet story together.
