Assisted Living vs. Independent Living

We offer both models in one home so families can choose what fits best.

Independent Living here means active seniors enjoy autonomy – bedrooms, meals, housekeeping and social activities – with staff on standby as needed.

Assisted Living adds more help with personal care. In assisted living, our caregivers support residents with bathing, dressing, grooming and full medication management.

If Mom is still quite independent but wants security and chores done for her, independent living may suit her lifestyle. If she needs daily personal care or has health issues, assisted living provides that extra support. Either way, both options at Evergreen AFH give the safety and companionship families trust.

Community Movie Night

Evenings at Evergreen often include a movie night. Our cozy living room is equipped with a flatscreen TV and high-speed WiFi, so residents can gather for a popular film or enjoy streaming music together.

Watching movies or listening to music as a group creates fun social moments. Whether it’s a classic family comedy or a nature documentary, residents relax with popcorn and each other’s company.

Simple, homey events like movie night help seniors bond and make happy memories – that’s the benefit of our small, family-oriented setting.

A Day in the Life at Evergreen Wellness

A typical day at our Kent AFH is all about comfort and routine.

Residents start with home-cooked breakfast and morning coffee together, and spend the day enjoying light activities or quiet time.

They might gather after breakfast for a group game or story, then relax in the living room in the afternoon.

Evenings are peaceful – whether it’s tea and TV, a favorite book, or sitting on the patio together.
