24/7 Safety and Emergency Preparedness

We take safety very seriously. Caregivers are on-site 24/7, so your loved one is never alone in an emergency.

If an incident happens at night or on weekends, our trained staff immediately respond – they assess the situation and call 911 or on-call medical help if needed.

We also notify families right away. Our home is equipped with fall sensors, emergency backup power, and 24-hour supervision. With these safeguards, families in the Kent/Auburn area know their parent is protected at all hours.

Clean, Safe & Welcoming Environment

Our priority is a safe, clean home. We run daily housekeeping and laundry to keep rooms spotless and germs at bay. Every corner is wheelchair-accessible and has emergency features: fall sensors, smoke alarms, and a backup generator for power outages.

Because of our small size, staff notices any maintenance or safety issue immediately. Families often comment on how bright and tidy our facility is – everything is made to feel warm and home-like, not institutional.

This attention to detail gives peace of mind that your loved one is in a healthy, hazard-free setting.

Why We’re Different from a Large Facility

Unlike big assisted-living institutions, Evergreen Wellness AFH is a small home where your loved one isn’t just a number.

Our caregivers are also the owners, so your family will see the same friendly faces every day. We truly feel like an extended family. Meals are home-cooked and eaten at a common table, not a cafeteria.

This consistency means more trust and understanding with each resident. In short, our intimate 6-bed setting provides a cozy, one-on-one care experience that large facilities can’t match.

Fall Prevention at Evergreen

Preventing falls is a top priority for us.
Our home is equipped with fall sensors and grab bars, and wheelchairs or walkers are used as needed.

Caregivers always supervise when residents move around. We also do regular check-ups on seniors’ stability and make sure beds are at the right height. Thanks to these measures, and our high staff-to-resident ratio, falls are minimized.

If a loved one has fallen at home, an adult family home like ours can provide a safer environment where continuous assistance greatly reduces that risk.
